This cigar was first available in Spain after unveiling as a new addition to the Montecristo brand in 2022 October. It is similar in size to the popular Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill.
The cigar initially offers floral and earthy notes before transitioning to coffee, leather, spice, and toasty tones for a finish with a subtle salted peanut flavor.
The Montecristo brand dates back to 1935. The Habanos S.A. created the Edmundo line extension to Montecristo in 2004. Fat and distinctive, the Edmundo was an immediate hit, prompting new sizes such as the short and plump Petit Edmundo in early 2007 and the Double Edmundo in 2013.
The original Montecristo range of sizes was composed of a narrow assortment numbered from 1 to 5. Today it consists of a wide variety of vitolas to cover every level of the cigar enthusiast’s needs.
