When Manuel Inoa first entered the cigar industry, cigars and tobacco were completely new to him. Fresh out of university with a degree in Industrial Engineering, he joined General Cigar Co. in the Dominican Republic with the goal of improving factory operations and efficiency. What began as an engineering role quickly turned into a passion.
Under the guidance of legendary cigar maker Benji Menendez, Manuel immersed himself in every aspect of tobacco cultivation, blending, and cigar craftsmanship. Eager to learn, he spent countless hours studying the leaf and the intricate art of creating premium cigars. Those early experiences laid the foundation for what would become an extraordinary career, eventually leading him to become the Master Blender of La Aurora, the Dominican Republic’s oldest cigar manufacturer.
