The New World Connecticut is fairly easy going with a bready quality that’s balanced by notes of almond paste, brown sugar, vanilla bean and some crushed peanut before the cedary, citrus finish. Mellow to medium-bodied, subtle notes of cream, slight spice, and cedar grow in intensity towards the finish.
A.J. Fernandez’s New World brand is named in honor of the discovery of tobacco by the Christopher Columbus expedition in 1492. Fernandez collaborated with his father, Ismael, on the cigar, which is comprised of a wrapper from Nicaragua that covers binder from the Jalapa Valley and a filler blend of Ometepe, Condega and Estelí tobaccos. The core line debuted in 2014, which was followed by New World Connecticut in 2015 and New World Puro Especial in 2017.
