The CAO Amazon Basin Extra Añejo takes one of CAO’s most distinctive and sought-after blends and elevates it with additional time to age. Made using the rare Brazilian Bragança tobacco, grown in remote parts of the Amazon rainforest, the Extra Añejo features the same exotic blend as the original Amazon Basin, but with two additional years of aging. This extended maturation allows the tobaccos to marry more seamlessly, bringing greater depth to the cigar.
The cigar is rolled using a rich Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder, and Brazilian Bragança, Colombian, and Dominican filler. At the heart of this blend is the exceptionally rare Bragança leaf, cultivated in remote remote parts of the Amazon rainforest, while serving as the signature tobacco of the Amazon Basin series.
From the first draw, the Extra Añejo delivers rich notes of earth, wood, gentle spice, and subtle fruit, creating a distinctive and layered opening. As the cigar progresses, the benefits of the additional aging become increasingly apparent. The flavours grow smoother and more integrated, revealing hints of natural sweetness, deeper earth, and nuanced exotic tobacco character.
