Handmade in Nicaragua the AJ Fernandez Bellas Artes Maduro Robusto Extra features a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper and a Mexican San Andres binder over a Nicaraguan filler. Introduced in the United States in 2016 the Bellas Artes series was inspired by visits to the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Havana. The Maduro line followed in 2018 and has since been available in Europe and Asia. This unique combination of wrapper and binder gives the cigar a distinct character that is both highly refined and expressive. The Bellas Artes Maduro series is available in several vitolas including Robusto Toro Gordo Short Churchill and special Lancero editions.
Flavour Notes:
From the first draw the Bellas Artes Maduro Robusto Extra delivers aromas of freshly baked bread warm spices cacao roasted nuts rich wood and subtle leather. The profile develops layers of espresso dark chocolate and gentle pepper creating a medium to full-bodied experience. Midway hints of sweet earth and toasted nuts appear enhancing the richness and complexity. The finish is long smooth and lingering with notes of cocoa spice and soft leather that remain balanced through to the nub.
