Handmade in Nicaragua the AJ Fernandez New World Connecticut Toro is part of the New World line inspired by the discovery of tobacco during Christopher Columbus’s expedition in 1492. Developed in collaboration with his father Ismael Fernandez this blend features a USA Connecticut Shade wrapper over a Mexican binder from the Jalapa Valley and a filler mix of Nicaraguan tobaccos from Ometepe Condega and Estelí. The New World Connecticut debuted in 2015 as a mild to medium-bodied expression of the core New World line.
Flavour Notes:
This Toro opens with smooth almond, brown sugar, and vanilla bean complemented by a hint of crushed peanut. As the smoke develops subtle layers of cream and light spice emerge, evolving into cedar and citrus on the finish. The profile is balanced and approachable with a gentle build in intensity towards the end, delivering a smooth, refined, and flavorful smoke from start to nub.
